The Splash MP3 is specifically designed to defend against such situations that would ruin a normal MP3 Player. The waterproofing technology used ensures that your Splash MP3 unit will withstand these elements and let you continue to enjoy your music without worry. How is it waterproof? The waterproofing aspect of the player comes from its incredible design, built to be a unit with toughened external casing and watertight seals, but also with a protected earphone jack in its side. The plug is surrounded by a screw-like casing, allowing the earphone plug to enter the player, and then twist into the jack; sealing the connection. A watertight seal - visible at the bottom of the earphone jack on the player - is designed to fit snugly around the normally exposed metal of the plug and protect it from any contact with water, while the connecting casing maintains the overall structural seal. The screwed-in feature also provides safety and comfort for the user, so if the cable is snagged it will not pop out of the player, nor does using the player in a pocket or traveling case (something which can sometime cause the wiring to fray or the plug to bend and break) cause the connection any damage.
